A word from the creator
Our Byzantine Psalmist TeacherHello! My name is Father Joseph Paliouras and I have been the headmaster of the Byzantine Music School of Thyateira & Great Britain for a little over forty years. It has been my wish for many years to make this sacred art accessible to all people who would like to learn but, due to reasons of locality, time, or other commitments, are not able to do so. Our online learning courses of Byzantine Music are being developed in response to the growing need for flexible access to learning, with the hope that it will provide many future chanters to strengthen the choirs of local Christian Orthodox Communities.
Furthermore, as a teacher, I'm using this method of learning to teach my students in the class in an interractive way while also giving me the possibility to spare my voice, saving time for myself and also for the students as I know that they have all the material they need to understand what is happening with each piece.
